Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley, a botanist from Seattle, was once an intelligent college student who knew just about everything about plants until her professor conducted experiments upon her, which made her touch deadly and allowed her to produce pheromones that drove men wild. Enraged at the betrayal, Isley suffered violent mood swings and eventually set roots down in Gotham, where she’d been committed to Arkham on a regular basis as Poison Ivy, who talks to plants, became more plant-like every year, and sought to destroy the entire human race. To this day, she remained a thorn in Batman’s side.
